Half Moon Rising

Okay photo nuts. Comments or suggestions on how I can improve my photography? I took this pic at 10X zoom using a tripod, 0dB gain and F4.8 with autowhitebalance on. I then used auto levels, auto color and auto contrast in Photoshop, as well as smart blur to clean it up just a bit.

That's not bad actually. It's hard to get a good picture of the moon without an auto tracking mount. The darned Earth moves too quickly even in the few seconds it takes for the shutter to open and then close for night shots.
