I hate slippery slope arguments. While I am against prop 8, I'm kinda fucking tired of people saying "OH GOD THIS WILL LEAD TO RELIGIOUS RIGHTS BEING TRASHED."
Plz to be not using that argument as a convincing reason to vote no on prop 8. There's so many better reasons (as you said, anti-gay) to go against it that this kind of fear-mongering slippery slope argument isn't really necessary.
Personally, I try no to bash on the religion aspect and, instead, point out the aspects of Prop 8 that are a violation of equal protection by offering rights and privilges to one class of persons while denying them to another class of persons based soley on social metrics.
I'm tired of the fear mongering that's going on. You know what's going to happen if it's not passed? People of the same sex will be able to get married. Oh no! Not that!
It's about equal rights in the State of California, nothing else and nothing more.

Besides, religion is silly. I'd rather define all religions as forbidden, at least for people who want to take public office.
Of course, next thing you know they'll be defining marriage as between humans, and then where will we be?
