Still like to see this live. It sort of looks like they're throwing up a projection on a rain screen giving it that fake 3d look. I'm sure it's much more impressive live.

Personally, I see nothing to suggest it's not just people on a stage. In particular, look where he throws the ball into the audience: it "disappears" when it leaves the stage lighting, but you can still see it, in shadow, complete its parabola and land in the audience. So, not convinced, here.

Ah, hadn't seen that link there. Ah yes, it's Pepper's Ghost + HD video, just with a new material instead of glass. Even so, they still do nothing in that Cisco video to prove that it's not just a bunch of people on the same stage, which seems very much like a missed opportunity.

I'm not entirely sure how Madonna can walk behind one of the Gorillaz characters and not be seen through it. My guess is it was quite precisely choreographed and a black cut-out of the character, in the position he'd be in at that moment in the performance, was put there for her to walk behind.
