As someone who was in marching band for a long time all i can say is either that camera is in a piss poor position, or they need a lot of practice with that music.

Marching is kinda sloppy in places too, but then, its cal-state.

the camera is in the wrong side of the field, so most of the sound is the echo.

Yeah, I thought about that. It explains why they sound off beat in places, especially the trumpets which echo more then most other instruments, but then I realized something.

An echo can only effect the the timing of the music. Its not going to make them sound off key, which the trumpets CONSTANTLY do. Personally, I just think its an early season show and they dont have much practice with it. Were this a show, I cant imagine them getting high marks for this.

Both of my older sisters were band geeks, so I still can appreciate it when marching bands do something awesome, and I think this was awesome. :D
