Well sure enough, it was two bad HDDs in the array. This means the data is going to be at best very difficult to recover. I've brought the server home to work on it, and we're setting up a Netapp filer to handle disk space from now on. We may have to send the HDDs to a drive recovery company to get the data back. Whee.

Do you expect a lengthy recovery? If so, I might be able to swipe some temporary hosting space from work for me and/or your other users.
