An interesting demonstration, but why is there no sound at all? I'm wagering the device makes more noise than a Hoover being raped by a Mixmaster.

Not quite, but yes.
The MIT device is already in use at some hospitals, but isn't as clear. The more stable the spin, the quieter it is, though.
