Bug 1: Dreamwidth really ought not to ask for a URL with which to log in via openID, if what they actually need to be given is a hostname. :)

LJ has been more than a little annoying lately - I really ought to make some kind of move to something/somewhere better at some point...

Well no, OpenID works on a URL basis. Your OpenID URL could be livejournal.com/pippin if that was the scheme LJ had used.
