I should point out just what kind of toll a presidential race takes on a man. Compare this picture to one of Obama from a few years back. His face is certainly much more worn. The same effect can be seen in every President I've seen run in my lifetime.
There was a political cartoon back in 1996 to this effect, showing the aging of several of the previous presidents as they served their term (the eventual punchline being the visage of Bob Dole, but that's hardly the point here :P ).
Heh glad to see I'm not the only one that's seen this. It's really a horrible undertaking. Sure you get power (Sorta) and a pension for life, but the actual presidency and running for it must be hell on these people.
